What it does. Newsletter lets you draft email campaigns and manage subscriber lists and subscriptions. Sending or scheduling a campaign is a step a person takes deliberately in the admin — no automated tool exists to fire one off on its own.

What it's for

Use it to build an audience and write to them: create lists, let people subscribe with double opt-in, draft a campaign, and send it when you're ready.
